I’m currently in my first week of having the Jabra 20s. So far, so good. But I’m having the common issue of horrible streaming sound. I understand the limitations of open domes and leaking bass. But I know it can be better. My fitter didn’t seem too familiar with the software so I want to be better prepared next appointment.
How do the streaming settings work in the Resound software? “Streaming audio” doesn’t seem to be its own profile. It just appears as part of whatever profile I happen to be using when I start a song or video. Does it inherit all the settings from that main profile? If so, what’s its purpose? If I boost the bass, it applies to “all around” as well. Very frustrating.
Can my fitter make adjustments to the “streaming audio” profile only without affecting its parent profile? If so, what options are available? Currently, my workaround is to create a custom favorite profile where I have maxed out the bass and minimized the mids. It’s obnoxious to have to pull out my phone and change profiles every time a stream media. And then change the profile back when somebody starts talking to me.
Hi Jordan,
I’ planning on buying the Jabra 20 hearing aids from Costco. Are these your first hearing aids? If so, how has becoming accustomed to them going? Also, your comment about the streaming audio is surprising because they have the newest Bluetooth Codec. Keep us posted.
